Makes: About 6 dozen
1/2 cup butter
1 1/3 cups sugar
2 tsp. finely shredded lemon peel
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/4 cups flour
1 cup dried cherries, snipped
1 cup almonds, chooped
4 oz. white chocolate
